We were fresh off our flight and looking for some food. We got there 45 minutes before they closed but they treated us as if they were open for a while. The food was delicious, staff was friendly and accommodating. The price was reasonable.
We used to eat at Rudy's when it was on Bechtle Ave in Springfield. At the time it closed, we understood it was going to open at a new location. We enjoyed the lunch bar. So we went to the one on S Limestone St in Springfield on a Sunday. Sunday is the only day they offer the lunch bar and we loved it. Everyone working there were very friendly and were readily available to help with any questions or needs.
Had Pulled pork sandwich if was very moist and flavorful. Choose creamed corn, green beans and Mac and cheese as our sides. First were great Mac and cheese was just ok. Clean place. Would definitely eat there again.
The lead up- Rudy's is located just off of I 70 (exit 54) in Springfield. It has plenty of parking and can't be missed when you get off the interstate. The walk in- packed of cute signs and awesome decor you immediately feel BBQ all over. Opening the second door you get hit smack in the nose with the great smells of BBQ. 4/5 because their Carolina Sauce needs some flavor. Good size portions for both enter and sides. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
We lived here about 5 years ago and my dad can't stop talking about this place. Came there today and they were still as great as ever. Their pulled pork is delicious and you have to get their scalloped corn it is a must.
Rudy's is a local (Springfield,Oh) favorite BBQ restaurant of mine. I've had the pleasure of dining in, ordering carry-out, and catching their food truck during lunch. No matter which route I go, I'm always greeted with friendly customer service, and leave with tasty BBQ. The last two times I've gotten Rudy's, it's been via the food truck. Awesome lunch!!! Amazing bbq. Fun with family and friends cool bathrooms too. Great bear selection and have to try the huge no bake cookies!!! Can't wait to go back. Check Groupon for deal we bout like 3 was huge savings and well worth it food is so good
We had pulled pork sandwiches. The pork was lean and smokey, just as it should be. The barbeque sauce was flavorful without being overpowering. Service was fast and friendly. I will definitely be back.
