Best brisket I've ever had!! Right off of 70. The green beans were great. The sauces were good and nice that they are limited to 3. Not so overwhelming!

The brisket sandwich was great and the ribs, unbelievable the meat fell of the bone. Oh just a hint make sure you check in and get your free cookie. I did the check in after I paid and was sitting down taking pics of my food, preparing to write my review when I saw I was eligible for the free cookie. The waitress wasn't happy about that but hey sorry didn't know and I check in, taste your food and then write a review. A bit on the pricey side (3 of us was over $45) for the atmosphere, but the food was really good and filling. We had a pulled pork sandwich, brisket sandwich and 1/2 slab of ribs (they did fallnoff the bone as promised and had great smoke flavor). Sides were green beans (cooked with bacon and bacon fat--a bit too much fat I'd skip the green beans), Mac and cheese (even my boy who loves his Kraft brand liked it!) hush puppies (average) and cornbread (really good!) Great bbq stop off 70 after a long day driving. Extremely warm, friendly staff make you feel welcome. The brisket and pulled pork were spot on. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because the food could have been a bit hotter, particularly the Mac n cheese, but that said if I said something I'm sure they would have fixed it immediately- it's that kind of place where you can tell they take pride in their cooking. Would definitely go back if I find myself in Springfield again.

Been here a couple times and its delicious every time. Pulled pork sandwich with hush puppies and Mac and cheese is awesome. Try the sweet bbq sauce on everything.

I normally fly to bbq places around the Midwest for flight lessons but this time I happened to be traveling home from a family gathering and wanted a bite to eat. First let me say the pulled pork and yellow bottle of bbq sauce was pretty decent. I've had better but, the pulled pork was moist and tasted fairly okay, with the sauce it's nothing to write home about. The hush puppies are cornmeal based and have little to no taste. We've been to Rudy's many times. Tonight, we had the Carolina pulled pork sandwich, ribs, and sides of Saratoga chips, and hush puppies. There was plenty of pulled pork on the sandwich which was topped with coleslaw. The ribs, which I've had before, were average, and very fatty. I keep getting them in hopes that they will be better. They never are. As for the sides, the hush puppies are always fresh and hot. The Saratoga chips are quite good especially with the sweet sauce on them. We will be back. We were in town for a convention and saw it. I was skeptical because everyone claims to have the "Best BBQ" but, this place was sooo good! I don't know if it was the hunger but my whole family pretty much licked the plates. We had ribs, 1/4 chicken, a few sides and few Chicken Wings. The menu was little confusing and priced a little high but not too high to keep me from returning. I recommend it!

I can say I have never truly had knife and fork bbq. Got the rib and brisket combo and it was so tender knife and fork was the only option. Tried picking up a bone and the meat fell off every time. Sides were also very delicious and the portion was enough that I am going to be sick. 5 star bbq here.
