Mushy Meat Rib Soup. Understand that I do a lot of my own smoking and experimenting. I love trying out new BBQ so passing through I was excited to try out Rudy's. I would recommend that if you want BBQ that you can eat with a spoon than this is the place. Personally I am of the belief that a rib should be tender but must be slightly tugged on. We stopped here for a to go order. It was our first visit. Not he young lady who took our order was great. We ordered from their online menu which was handy. Unfortunately we would discover that those prices are completely inaccurate. We ordered their chicken dinner which was way over cooked and very dry. The macaroni was okay but nothing special. Same for the green beans. You can go almost anyplace and recieve a better value and a better meal.

Food was okay. The wings were a little undercooked for my liking. Coleslaw was delicious. The sweet potato salad was extremely sweet, more like dessert than a side-dish. The salad was iceberg lettuce and loaded with cheese- more like a side than an actual dinner- but the turkey on it was very good. The fries were also undercooked.

WORST PLACE EVER! There were roaches in the bathroom and dining area. I have ate many of BBQ places and at the end of the day, end of the week, end of the year I have NEVER seen such a horrible place as Rudy's Smokehouse. I truly am sick to my stomach and would never recommend this place to anyone. I wish I could give it a mini 10 stars cis thats at the best it deserves. Got the NC BBQ sandwich, hush puppies and sweet potato casserole. The sandwich was okay - I am from NC so my expectations were higher. The hush puppies were horrible - I could not identify what they were made with. The sweet potato casserole was good, but also very heavy on the sweet. My boyfriend got the wings, green beans and mac 'n cheese. He said the green beans and macaroni and cheese were delicious. The wings were not very meaty and they were awfully small. For the price, $25, I will go someplace else next time.

Only giving this a star bc i have to....Gross! The ribs are terribl! Brisket is dry! The BBQ sauce tastes Like ketchup and hotsauce. The sweet potato casserole was like a canned pie filling and the Mac n cheese was like a pile of mush. Don't let curiosity get your wallet on this one, the billboards on the highway must be where they invest their money,it is most definetly not put into the food.
