It was obvious when I saw the pale ribs that they had never been in a smoker. Appeared to have been baked in an oven. The ribs were flavorless with no hint of smoke or any type of seasoning. The sauce that was spread across them likewise lacked any flavor. Had to use the sweet sauce at the table just to make them eatable. Worst barbecue I have ever eaten. Ribs were undercooked and fatty. Green beans were soggy and tasteless - an almost impossible feat. Texas toast had zero flavor. Macaroni and cheese tasted like the first dish prepared by a kindergarten class. Hush puppies were average but at least edible.

This is the worst bbq that I've ever had! The bourbon chicken and rice consisted wasn't what I was expecting expecting which was a nice moist juicy bbq chicken, marinated in the bourbon sauce and then barbecued it was as if it was a piece of boneless skinless breast of chicken cut up into chunks thrown on some uncle Ben's rice and then some sauce poured on it. It was a disgrace. The pork was flavorless and the ribs were over cooked and had no flavor.

Different strokes for different folks. Not for me. They were my favorite once upon a time. Over the last 3 months I have tried eating there multiple times and the meat always seems to be more fat than meat.I used to enjoy the food but now not so much. I'm not sure if the price of meat went up and they are trying to keep the prices low or what.

I was disappointed even before I took a bite. I did it anyway and it was confirmed. I chose this over Golden Corral and their summer grill bc I wanted "real BBQ" not boiled or oven-cooked. Picked the 1/2 slab up and it fell apart! I ate the piece that was left in my fingertips and it was like boiled mush in my mouth. I wasn't so rude as to spit it out, but it did cross my mind. I am extremely disheartened by my experience and the way the whole property was being taken care of at my visit. The curb out at the road is in bad disrepair and I hit it with my tire the other day wrong trying to pull in to the parking lot and it literally tore a huge hole in my SUV tire. I pulled right up to the parking lot right in front of their front window where my tire went completely flat. Now, it's Mothers Day and I am sitting outside their very front window with a flat tire. Be sure to check your carryout orders before you leave the business. I got all the way hime and received 2 orders of cole slaw instead of 1 cole slaw and 1 macaroni and cheese. Very disappointed. Staff was also not very friendly. Won't be back for a long time if ever.

We haven't been in a few months. The food is very good. However, after ordering and getting our food home, we noticed a 10% surcharge on our bill. I called and asked about it. They said it was a Covid surcharge! Instead of raising their menu prices they add 10% to cover the rising costs for them during the pandemic. I would have completely understood an increase in menu prices. You know the cost of everything up front and that just makes sense. However, this way the more you spend, the more they make off of you! Price on the menu not the price charged - beware!!! Despite the prices on the menu being on the high side, the menu does not make you aware of a "10% surcharge" that appears on your receipt and also while the menu advertises "add two sides for $3.49" my receipt indicated the two sides charge of $3.49 and an additional $1.00 for one of my two sides without explanation... when asked about the additional charges for sides - I was told I had to speak with the manager who made me wait until I gave up and walked out....
