The $49 special is a waste of money you can do the same thing with a shop vac!! They want sell you hundreds of dollars of services which would take hours tearing your furnace apart. Save your $$$!
Getting someone to answer the first time you call, is not likely to happen. It took me quite some time to even get my appointment scheduled. It was a pain but I had a KSL deal to use- so I dealt with the extra effort. The tech arrived in an unmarked vehicle- which is sketchy. Apex did a great job, BUT they kept insisting that I needed a LOT more done than I initially asked for. RecommendedAlthough this company seems to have done a good job with actually cleaning the ducts (it's hard to know for sure) they are definitely in the bait and switch business. I purchased a Groupon that seemed like it would logically cover everything in our home except I knew I may have to pay a little extra for a couple more vents, I was ok with that. Everyone should be aware that when you see the coupons on Groupon or some other place that the price is going to be much higher for Apex Clean Air. It is totally a bait and switch type of service. It's hard to gauge the quality of work because you don't really see what is in your vents. They did a bacteria test and our vents failed so they recommended a treatment which was really expensive. Tech was an hour late then when he finally got there asked if it was ok if he walked my neighborhood for a few minutes so he could look for Pokemon....� turns out to actually clean all my vents (11) it costs over $300 I felt like the coupon is sort of a rip off but he did the job if was fine I would just never recommend this service or hire them again..
Well we had quite an experience with Apex. First off, I will never recommend them to anyone and here's a long story short (ish): They came to clean and sanitize every single vent in our house and after they did so they showed me a picture of before and after and all seemed great. A month later we started renovations to our basement and found that our ducts were filthy. Turns out they didn't clean a thing! Worst treatment ever ! I set up and appointment and they missed the window with 5 separate calls never showed up then followed by a false make up appointment they never showed up to !!
