Got a $49.00 coupon in the mail for 10 vents and a main. Basically after the tech finished with my "analysis", I needed $1900.00 worth of cleaning and UV lights and washable filters and holes cut in my trunk lines all for the piggybacked coupon cost of $1599.00. This cost reduction was after he called his office manager to see what an amazing deal he could get for me. I seriously felt like I was buying a car. Used a groupon that touted 12 vents, one main, one return and dryer. By the time the tech added up the additional vents and returns and mains (who knew that most houses have 3 mains), it came to an up sell off over $400. I declined the upsell. The tech was very nice but after I declined, his mood was distinctly "chilly." It wasn't clear to me what vents he ended up cleaning. I did check and he put them all back were they belonged. If there was a "0" star rating I give this company that!! Appointment was scheduled a month ago and I got a call the day of my scheduled appointment saying that the tech was behind and won't be able to make it. So reluctantly, I gave them another try and got rescheduled. The day of my 2nd appointment, got a call about coming several hours earlier since the tech was available sooner than that the appointed time. I called Apex to make an appointment for cleaning my air ducts and a furnace tune-up. My furnace was having problems heating my house. It would put out hot air occasionally, but usually it was cold. The furnace would run almost continually. The appointment was made a month after I called initially. Then the day they were to come, they called and said their technician could not make the appointment. We rescheduled 2 days later. That day it snowed, and they said they could not come again. Purchased a Groupon about two or three months ago to have ducts cleaned. Scheduled (they were about three weeks out on scheduling Groupons ) and expected them on October 11. Night before I get frantic texts and phone calls saying they were short staffed and asked if they could reschedule me and give me a 50 dollar credit toward additional vents or other services. I agreed. I have since tried calling (always getting voicemail) and not getting a return call despite leaving a message two or three times.
