When I saw the ad for "Only $49", I could only think of the old saying if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. This is the case with Apex Clean Air. The technician came to my house and did his inspection. Immediately he attempted to upsell me saying that I should have a UV sanitizer installed to help with mold. Having a hunch that I was not going to get away with a $49 air vent cleaning job, I stopped him when he was at $399 and asked him to leave. Originally quoted 299 over the phone, after getting here, said 599, and tried to scare us and thinking we had mold, but couldn't verify if it was mold legally. Told us it tested purple, and said really if we want to get it done it would be o2000 to get it completely taken care of. we told him we were not up for it, and he said the prices are good today only, coupon only works one time and only once per household. So if he leaves, the prices will be higher. Super shady, don't recommend these people!!! Epitome of bait and swit... read more

The way the evaluate cost on couple is different than they do on site. Price will hike a lot when tech is onsite. Also upsell a lot of services, end up cost several times than initial expectation. Cannot recommend them.
